Question about 2007 Subaru Forester 2.5X L.L. Bean Edition

1 Answer

I have a 2007 Subaru Forester and at low speeds going forward and in reverse when you turn the wheel sharply it feels like the tires are sticking to the pavement. Does anyone know why this could be happening?

Subaru 03 Forester - problem in front differential, 3 wheels turn

Thumping noises and vibrations can be something as simple as a tread separation(or a big bubble) on one of your tires. As for the one wheel turning---that's perfectly normal. If you grab the wheel that's turning (not really recommended) and stop it completely, the other wheel will spin.

Subaru Forester hesitates turning

Just know you're not crazy....my 1999 Saturn S-Series is doing this too, particularly at low RPMs when I turn a corner. It feels like its going to stall like a manual car, but is auto. If anyone has a solution for us I'm curious to find out....

Transfer case is popping/jerking in low speed turns

Center differential is broken, you can test it by doing tight circles in a car park 3 or 4 to the left and repeat to the right,if it doesn't un block and it still feels like you're driving over marbles (big ones) when you turn you're sure it's the c.diff.
Check tyres are all in spec.identical and same usage, right pressure.
