I would ck the fluid lvl and ck to see if the fluid looks brown if it is brown the transmission has been slipping for a while and it could of been cause by a Oring that has gone bad or the clutches just wore out and also could be the torque converter

I have a 92 Honda Accord and the transmission slips out of gear when it downshifts from 4th to 3rd. I step on the gas and the rpm's go up but the car does not move, like it is in neutral. I turn the car...

Sounds like transmission is screwed. Worn sun gears due to lack of proper care in the transmissions earlier days. Must have run dry & lost teeth on gears. New car time.... Cheaper for a used transmission to be put in then have the current one fixed.

Turbo 350 slipping in 3rd gear fluid clean, think the kickdown linkage cuased it.. Runs ok in 1st and second, then around 45mph it slips and i ease off and it slowly grabs and slips again!

Have you serviced the transmission? There is a filter, in the transmission pan that gets clogged with disk material, then the trans pressure gets reduced, then slipping and damage happens.

TRANMISSION IS SLIPPING WHEN DRIVING

Anytime an automatic transmission is slipping, you're looking at a replacement or overhaul. There are products that say that they'll help, but ultimately, if they do, it's only a temporary, and your transmission will fail just as soon. The slippage is caused from a worn band in the transmission...it's kinda like a set of brakes; they grab onto a planetary gear system, and once that band wears out, your transmission slips. Find a reputable place for a rebuilt unit that will change it reasonably

Car not taking off slowly and reving high before gear grabs

sounds like it needs servicing. Usually when the lower gears are beginning to go, we need to have it look at.
Start the vehicle and get it at running temp. check the trans fluid level while running. Top off if needed and see where that takes you. either or, you need to have it scanned and see if it pulls any trouble codes. I am leaning to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). Hope this helps.
