This model should be fuel injected, therfore the pump is in the tank. The pump is accessed by a round plate in side of tank hear the differential cover. The outer ring turns counterclockwise to remove. If the tank has more than 1/4 of of fuel you will get covered in full. Be safe!!

I'M NOT GETTING FUEL TO THE INJECTORS ON A 85 CROWN VIC . THE FUEL PUMP AND THE RELAY HAVE BENN REPLACED WHATS THE NEXT STEP/

You will only get fuel at the injectors when cranking, the pump wont run(Usually) with just the key on. This is to prevent the pump running in a crash and feeding the engine.

I have a 1985 Ford Crown Victoria Station Wagon that bucks. I have tried replacing the fuel filter, a complete service, and a new gas tank (the old one was leaking). My only option left is the fuel pump....

You are choosing a very expensive way of fixing correct your vehicle using the 'let's try putting a new one of these in'!

The correct way is diagnostics. Fuel pumps are either working or they aren't. If the car doesn't start, it may be the fuel pump, it may be not. If the engine is running, then the fuel pump is running. It MAY be that there is not enough of a constant pressure, but that is easy to check because under the hood there is a connector to connect a fuel pressure gauge. If it is below pressure, you replace it. Fuel pumps are nearly always inside the fuel tank. However, a quick Google seems to show yours is mounted on the side of the engine.

Your most likely problem is this 'indirect fuel injection', that is mentioned here. Also

I own a 1985 ford LTD Crown Victory and Iv been looking for 4 god damn hours for the fuse diagram because I need to know which fuse goes to the Fuel Pump. Iv got to change the fuel filter and all I can...

the fuel pump is control with a fuel pump relay if the system has fuel injection.a fuel pump relay turns on for 3to 5 seconds and turns off unles the engine is running.Older Ford models also have a fuel cutoff if the car is in a collision . but if you slam the door or hit a bump it will also cutoff. the switch is black with a white button on top of it and I think it is located under dash on passenger side ,behind the kick panel close to the door..if you push on button and
it clicks you have found the problem.Otherwise I would suspect fuel pump inside fuel tank.If thats the case sometimes you can tap on the tank a few times and make that part work.good luck

Fuel pump not geting power

usually the oil pressure switch is connected with the fuel system if this is bad it tells the ecm not to power the fuel pump because it thinks the engine has low or no oil in it.

if the pump is known to be good, check the fuel filter. the fuel filter may have never been changed and this may very well be the reason why the pump went out in the first place. hope this helps... visit again and rank this answer if I helped thanks!
