Question about 1988 Porsche 911
Enar, What type of smoke is it? White means that the car is cold and burning more fuel than should if warmed up. Nothing serious about it. Black smoke means that the engine is burning lube oil too along with the fuel. This is serious as burning oil means that at least the rings have gone and needs new piston rings. And if not changed in time then may be new pistons or at least piston job along with rings will be needed. As you say it is an 88 model, this much is expected. May be that is why the car is on sale.
