Question about 2005 Nissan 350Z

1 Answer

I have a 2005 Nissan 350Z convertible, and have managed to lose the keys. We think they may have gotten locked in the trunk. We read about the rubber trunk release above the license plate, and it is not working. Is there any way we can get the trunk open?

Before I applied any force to any body par,t I would wait until a dealer opens on Monday, take the VIN and/or title or other proof of ownership and have the dealer make you a new key.

My 350z Nissan convertible top wont close all the way to the trunk

Lubricate every single part that moves in the top frame all the hinge points, use a light oil like 3 in1. Wipe off the excess do not get it on the interior trim like seats and door panels. Move the top up an down a few times to work the oil in and then try putting it all the way down. Good luck

The trunk of my 2005 Nissan sentra is locked and can't open even with key

may be manual release behind or under back seat and if not you may need to remove back seat and panal which should let you into trunk. once in there should be a release on the trunk inside to open it. most new cars have them to prevent someone from getting locked in trunk. after opened you may want to have lock system replaced or it could simply just need oiled....... hope this helps and good luck

2007 350Z CONVERTIBLE TOP LIGHT STAYS ON WHEN TOP IS COMPLETELY SECURED.

MY 350Z ROADSTER HAD THE SAME PROBLEM CLOSED TOP ON SLANT CAUSING PROBLEMS W LATCH MECHANISM. IN THE THE RIGHTMOST LATCH IS A SWITCH WHICH NEEDS TO BE FULLY DEPRESSED BY THE END OF THE HOOK IF ITS NOT EVEN THOUGH EVERYTHING IS LOCKED LIGHT WILL STAY ON. IN MY CASE THE RUBBER COATING OVER HOOK HAD COME OFF. SOLUTION WAS TO INSTALL RUBBER SLEAVE OVER HOOK AND THE SWITCH WAS DEPRESSED AND LIGHT WOULD GO OFF.SWITCH OPERATES LIKE DOOR AJAR SWITCH. ALSO MY TOP HEAD TO BE SLIGHTLY REALIGNED TO CENTER LATCHES IN SLOT. ON THE INSIDE OF THE TOP WITH THE TOP HALF RAISED YOU CAN SEE TWO STOP ADJUSTMENTS ONE ON THE LEFT AND ONE ON THE RIGHT. THEY HAVE A ROUND RUBBER HEAD ABOUT AN INCH WIDE WITH AN ALLEN SCREW IN MIDDLE TURNING SCREW DETERMINES HOW FAR FORWARD O BACK THE TOP STOPS. AFTER ADJUSTING THE SCREW IS LOCKED INTO PLACE BY TIGHTENING NUT A BASE. MAKE SMALL ADJUSTMENTS TILL YOU GET THE HOOKS CENTERED. HOPES THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

The trunk latch on my 2005 350Z sticks sometimes and does not fully unlatch. I use the remote and after about five times it will open properly. I tried spraying WD-40 on the latch and it did not...

Look closely to see if anything was dropped or anything heavy placed on the latch. It may be bent ever so little. If not then your servo is losing its value and will have to be replaced.
I hope my suggestions helps and all the luck to you.
