SOURCE: 1971 F-100 pickup. How can I hotwire?

Make up a jumper wire run it from the pos side of the battery to the pos side of the coil and jump the solenoid.

Or

If you have another switch you could use that.

Or

Put the wires out of the back of the switch and find which ones that you could jump to get it to trun over and have power going to the coil.

What is the torque spec for a 1978 Ford pinto differential pinion nut?

170 ft.lbs is the minimum; be aware that this differential uses a crush sleeve to set the backlash and the pinion torque is what crushes the crush sleeve. If you don't set the backlash correctly you can grind up your differential gears.

My 2005 aveo horn does not work I replaced the fuse and still not working

see if the horn will sound as you turn the steering wheel hard in both directions. a lot of time there are this connecting rings in the steering whell that make connection with the horn operation. these rings get worn just by driving even when you haven't used the horn. I hope this is not the cause because it can be costly. many times the fix is to replace the wheel. I had a toyota once and also the ole' pinto that had thses symptoms. both cars had the same cause. the toyota had to have another steering wheel. I can't remember what I did with the pinto. ( I do remember a funny story with the pinto, I lived in an apartment complex and one night at about 2a.m. the horn started blowing, I waited for a while then got mad at who ever is keeping me up I stormed outside and behold it was my ford pinto. I think I remember destroying the center of the wheel to get the horn to stop.)))) hope this helps.
