Is it normal for coolant bottle to boil?

No it is not. Is your engine running hot according to temperature gauge? That is the coolant return which means the coolant was too hot coming out of engine and returning to rad for cooling. You obviously have a cooling system problem whether water pump, thermostat, rad, cooling fan etc. Give more details on what happens when starting from cool, and sittting idling, driving etc as far as temperature gauge reads and how hot engine gets. Be careful not to overheat engine, if you haven't already

I have a Peugeot 607 2.2 petrol of 2004 which kept overheating but upon removing the thermostat in the engine(close to the brake servo) the overheating stopped and the fan works normal.the car was imported...

There are different thermostats for different climates,
You will need to get the right one from a local dealer,
Thermostats regulate the flow to get the engine temp to the optimum performance level,
A engine without the thermostat takes longer to warm up to operating temperature, so that will cause a lot more wear on the motor, especially in cold weather conditions!
Cheaper to replace it than a engine

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You want to make sure the new computer is already reprogrammed for your car before you get it. You need to find out what computer number you had for your vehicle. You should be able to use the vin number to find out what is was. On most vehicles, you have to have it programmed first before it will work correctly in your vehicle. You can try calling a local dealership and asking them. You can also look ECU up on Google and call one of the companies that only deal with ECU's. They will be able to determine what computer you need and what needs done. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and thanks for using FixYa.

if the thermostat is ok, then i cannot see why it would be a problem

that said, i would accept the advice of local mechanics out there and remove it if they think it may be a problem. a car without a thermostat takes a little longer to warm up. that should not be a issue in southern africa...

I have the U S wiring book. It may be similar to European version. I will look at work and see. Does the cooling fan come on when you turn on the a/c and the compressor clutch? The fan should cycle with the a/c clutch. Also, do you have 12 volts at the motor connection when the car is hot? There should be a big fuse in the box under the hood and probably a relay.
ALso, the ECT, engine coolant temp sensor on the engine should also tell the computer to turn on the fan when the coolant hits a certain temp.
