Question about 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Open Question

How do I replace the AC blower on my 2003 Santa Fe. I took it out when I got a very bad vibration until I turned off the AC. I pulled it out and ran the fan/motor free of the housing and the AC on and it seems OK. Might have been rubbing or out of balance form debris in fan? I can't seem to get the fan and motor to go back in now. Is there some trick? How much of the car do I need to take apart to get it back in?

SOURCE: control for fan blower not working on any speed.2005 santa fe

Don't.  What you have to do is take the ashtray out then remove the 2 screws.  Pry the whole assembly off and replace the switch in the back. The knob only moves the switch back and forth and nothing more.

I would take it in to a shop and have a free brake inspection done. They will give you a list of things wrong , and you can go from there.

SOURCE: blower fan won't shut off its or climate control

My 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis had a similiar problem. The blower fan continuously ran at full blast and wouldn't shut off now matter what!
It was the part called the Blower Motor Resistor had gone out. I purchased it for $50.00 from the Dealer and replaced it myself. You can get a diagram from your dealer or online. It is kind of hard to get to but if the dealer had replaced would have cost $200!

To remove the knob, put it on the second speed setting and pull! Center piece and outer knob will pop right off. Found the answer elsewhere and it ought to be here too.
