I am trying to replace a power window motor on the driver side of my 1994 Ford Mustang convertible but everytime I try the window does not go all the way up. Am I missing some trick to get it to work right?

Check the mechanism. Sometimes the windows come out of the clips.

I have problem with My 1994 Ford Mustang windows...they need help rolling up and down. When I push switch I can hear the motor run and a friend said he took apart and they are not off track. Also when all...

I have a 1990 Mustang with power windows. When i first got the car the windows rolled up and down fine, then the passenger one started going up slower than the driver one. When i needed to fix my power locks i had them change the window motor in the passenger side. Now the passenger window rolls up faster than the driver one. The problem is the window motors.......and about the motors still running: the switches probably need to be replaced as well. I can almost guarantee this will solve your problem:)

Window motor drivers side 1994 gt mustang how to install

you will need to remove the door panel and then locate the window motor. Before you buy a new one check and see if there is a rebuild kit for these,90% of fords power window motors are rebuildable and the kit only costs $15.00 compared to $70.00.You will need a screw gun or drill to drill the poprivets out that hold the motor in place.the motor will drop out.

You could try using a voltmeter or test light to confirm if power is getting to the motor.

The driver's side window will NOT go down. All the other windows go down fine. The locks all work.

ford window motors are bad about burning out. if you can get the door panel off try tapping the motor with a hammer and see if it frees up. if it does, you know the motor needs to be replaced. otherwise the contacts on the switch may be dirty. check the fuse too, just in case.

check the pwer switch. if you don't detect any sign of live. then you have to open the door panel to check the motor. most likely the motor or the "T" rail cable is broken.
