SOURCE: 2000 Ford Explorer 6 cyl
pcv is located at rear of valve cover on drivers side.to remove turn counterclockwise then pull.be very careful because there are 2 small lock tabs to hold valve in place.

The firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6. The cylinders are, front bank is from drivers side to passenger, 6-5-4 , and 3-2-1 at the firewall.

You have the wrong type hose on the pcv valvle. It isn't vacuum hose.
