Does your fuel gauge work properly? If not, the "ball" could be the float from the gauge sender. If the gauge does work properly, then you may have foreign objects in your gas tank. If so, then you should remove the tank (preferably when it is empty) and clean it (and the filler tube) out thoroughly.

I have 2006 Lexus Lx470 with a problem which is plugged gas tank when filling the tank by fuel as fully loaded. Yet there is no gas. So what can be cause of this problem and help me!

These vehicles are equipped with a floating ball in the filler pipe. When tank is full, the ball floats to block the filler pipe, causing a vapor lock which shuts off the gas pump at the gas station. Try using an old car antenna to knock it free to see if it fixes it. If not the filler pipe will need to be removed and serviced.

I cant fill my gas tank. the gas spurts out when I try to fill tank.

The only thing I can suggest is perhaps you are trying to fill the tank to fast or the nozzle is not in the correct position.
1. slow the fuel speed
2. move the nozzle to different depths

Gas tank fills slowly. automatic shut off is triggered at the pump repeatedly. can't get more than 10 gallons in the tank in less than 15 minutes.

Normally this is due to the way the Pipe is bent when it was installed but if you have upset someone in the younger generation it may be because they put a Ping Pong balls in the filler. I have the same problem with my Ford Escape. The only solution I found was to use the slower Auto Fill lock position instead of squeezing the handle all the way.

What else could it be if its not the vent hose??? 2002 ford explorer not letting me pump gas

Do you have any enemies out there into pranks? If someone dropped a ping pong ball into the filler is would stop the fuel from entering the tank. If your talking about it just causing the fuel to have to be added slowly it could just be the crimp at the base that goes into the tank causing back pressure. The 2005 Escape I have has this problem. I have to regulate the fuel pump manually depending on how much pressure they have on the pump the filler will click off like it has a full tank.

1999 toyota camry. Can only pump fuel into tank

What it does have is a plastic checkball(almost like a ping pong ball ) in the tank which prevents back flow up the filler neck. If this hangs up,it will cause poor flow the right way fuel goes in the tank. I have poked around and got these to free up before. The last time I used a small peice of plastic tubing and successufully freed up the ball.Severe cases my require tank removal as there are some makes and models out there requiring a replacement fuel tank.

Leaking gas

Some tanks have a fitting(s) molded into the tank, and filler attaches with a short piece of hose & clamps, others have a seal that filler pipe slides into for a tight fit. If it's the seal type & you can't pinpoint where leak is, you may have to pull filler out. Usually screws behind gas tank filler door, and out it comes but take a close look for anything else that may be holding it. You may have to twist & wiggle a bit but it should come. Inspect seal & tubes for nicks etc. If you have to re-use old seal, clean good, lube it & lube filler pipe before inserting back in to eliminate more nicks, and helps go in easier.Twist slightly going in too, makes it easier & helps reduce seal damage.
