Question about Subaru Outback
The mirror is glued to the windshield.
You get an adhesive kit with the new mirror, for $25.
If the mount has not fallen off by itself, then there are several ways a mirror can be removed from mount.
The earlier ones used a clip or screw that was visible and had to be removed first. But the later ones only require a 180 degree twist on the base of the mirror. Then it can be slid downward and off.
