This job requires special tools and special training. If you lack either, you risk SERIOUS personal injury. Injury comes VERY EASILY!

You need to address oil levels, proper and legal refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and recharge.

You were planning to also replace the receiver/dryer, correct? It also needs the oil in it measured and incorporated into the amount of oil (in %) that would need to be added. FAILURE to address these and other issues will guarantee premature system failure and likely compressor damage.

Take this job to a qualified shop.

Coil on a/c compressor

If you are talking about the part behind the pulley on the compressor, its part of the clutch assembly.
You get the pulley and coil as a kit which bolts to the shaft.
Check the online auto parts stores for ac clutch.

How much compressor oil do I add when changing the ac compressor on a 04 expedition with front and rear ac?

When replacing the compressor the dryer should also be replaced, you put 2oz of oil in compressor and stand compressor on pulley for 5 min, then after install turn clutch 10 turns to pump most oil out of compressor, the dryer should have 2 oz of oil also, if you are flushing the ac system out with a solvent then more oil is needed for the system, if your just replacing the compressor then 2oz in compressor.

Ac will not cool. oil splatter inside hood . do I need another compressor?

If the oil splatter is all around the compresser clutch and not in other places, then yes you probably need a new compressor. Usually the front seal in the compressors go out and you'll see oil and dirt buildup on the compressor clutch face.

It is possible that the lip seal being replaced could fix the problem, but more times than not, the seal is wore out due to something wrong in the compressor. You'll probably be money ahead to replace the compressor unless you know the bearings are good and the compressor shaft has no side to side movement.

If the oil buildup is elsewhere than the front of the compressor, it could be a bad hose or o-ring. In that case, you may not need to replace the compressor.

1988 Cadillac DeVille has frozen a/c compressor/clutch. If clutch

I assume you mean the compressor is locked up. Then yes, it is shot. If you want it fixed, take it to a repair shop. When the compressor is replaced, the dryer and the orifice tube must be replaced and the system flushed and evacuated. If all this isn't done, it will void the warranty on the compressor.

AC compressor bad

If the compressor has gone bad again, it may be because the system didn't get flushed properly when it was first replaced or oil was not added. Before being done again, it must be flushed. This can only be done using special tools and materials. If you have that done, then you must replace the receiver/dryer, associated seals, refill the system with right amount of compressor oil, the compressor of course and then recharge the system. This is all assuming there are no leaks in the lines or the evaporator and condenser.
