P0068 MAP/MAF Throttle Position Correlation

That means that the Manifold Absolute Pressure data doesn't jibe with the Mass Air Flow Sensor data and the Throttle Position Sensor Data.

So, any one of these three items may be the cause of your problem.

LIkely, that the TPS is not giving accurate data, but must read codes from the computer to determine any further conclusions.

2000 Suzuki Esteem 1.8L.. I went to start my motor & turned it off right before started. I heard some kind of backfire. Then I started it and it's been idling high, the surging. Please help!!

scan it yet, a FULL OBD2 scan? why not?if not.
now is the time...

the 1.8L J18 engine, same as the older Sidekick sports used.
same engine , know it I do.
its the precursor to the J20, (j18 is under-stroked, j20 with many of the same parts. inside)
the back fire means explosion sound to rear end of tail pipe?
yes, that is rich raw fuel in the muffler. plus Air.
if there are exhaust cracks and then engine goes rich this can happen( a double failure)
if how ever BACK means, back to the Air cleaner, then that be different reasons, (timing)

engine now starts.?>
engine runs.? has full power, car drives ok.?
SURGE,. you never said.

does engine get hot? 180F or more and holds (y/n)
ever get a full tuneup this decade,
most dont so i tell you, bad spark causes, misfire and raw fuel is wasted to the exhaust and sure can go boom.

surging usually means the ISC can not control idle
so it hunts, (a suzuki software engine on all 90s engines)
PCM errors, inside it. (dangerous too)
a modern car, if idle goes too high the ecu commands the ISC closed
and holds it there solid, (safe way , no hunting allowed now)]
so if this car surges, it's , lean engine.

some think flooding is surging.
and this is usually below 800 rpm,
almost stalls, then corrects, seems like a surge.

next time post rpm range of surge.?????

do not drive a surging engine, do not be like Toyota drivers. (over 800 rpm hot)

surge from 400 -800 rpm is class 1 surge.
surge from 800 to say 2000 RPM is class2, and very dangerous to some folks, (key off, get car fixed, tow it)

The ECU controls idle speeds. (hard coded servo controls)

Codes are reading low tps voltage, mapps high voltage ignition on low voltage at idle. Idle surges sputers and stalls when driving. Replaceed mapp and tps with no improvment?

Have you consider to check the battery power. I believe the main problem you have is either the battery or the alternator. Due to these two things with low voltage the brain ( ECU ) does not have the enough power to work. Good Luck.

Im recieving codes p132 and p141 when stopped at light it feels like its idling down and when driving some time i here when im pressing on the gas a poping noise like its not getting the right air flow

I recently experienced the code P0132 issue described where my '99 Durango would lose power upon pressing the gas and the popping noise would occur... It only gets worse leading to real poor performance. The solution consisted in replacing the throttle position sensor and then resetting the computer by clearing the codes and removing virus using a scanner.

Need help I am trying to fix the high idling in my chevy s-10 durango. The engine runs high speed. it idles high. Is there a way to fix or adjust this problem?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. They are a few things that can cause your issue. You may need to adjust your idle or you could have a bad idle control sensor. You need to test your fuel pressure to make sure your not getting too much fuel to the engine. It could also be in your ignition system. You could be getting a power surge within the system. Last resort, take it to a shop to be hooked up on a diagnostic machine. There problems are sometimes hard to find, especially the power surge. You would need to test the wires for improper current.

Losing power on acceleration and surges when coming to a stop

Have your local parts house run a obd2 scan if your check engine light is on. I had similar problems traced back to a IAC sensor. Idle air control. It controls your idle speed by controlling the fuel and air mixture. It will surge forward when stopped much like you feathering the throttle. It will also hinder your fuel economy and driving power.
