Hi, You have three fuse panels/boxes on your Saturn. One uner the hood (drivers side) One each in the front kick panels the identification is located on the inside of the cover. The lighter fuse is located in the underhood fuse block. It is a yellow 20 amp fuse lay the cover next to the fuse's then you can identify where its located in the panel Hope this helps

On my 1999 Saturn the fuse was located on the passenger side fuse box, It is located on the side of the center panel under the radio area bye where the passengers left foot would be. It was a 20 amp yellow fuse at the bottom in the middle of 3 fuses but I never would have even looked in that area if not for the gentleman above saying there was more than one fuse box so thank you bluebird man!

In the 1999 SC2, the lighter is protected by the middle 20 amp yellow fuse in the bottom row of three small fuses in the passenger-side fuse panel.

SOURCE: Cigarette lighter fuse

it will be under the hood in a fuse block (box with fuses and relays in it) it should be labeled LIGHTER , from the picture i'm looking at it will be the corner fuse 20 amps .

SOURCE: fuse blown on cigarette lighter Saturn 2001

It sounds like you have a bad charging cable for the GPS or the cable is overloading the cigarette lighter.

The cigarette lighter is designed for less power then a 12v power outlet.

Therefore it is easy to blow the fuse for the cigarette light if you install something that draws too much power.

Penny dropped into the cigarette lighter of my 2008 saturn astra. I got the penny out, but the cigarette lighter doesn't work

hi,

there must have been a weak connection somewhere in the line.
use a volt meter to trace from the lighter to the fuse box.
I have also seen the wire connection go bad during a short in the back of the fuse box itself where the wire goes in.
follow the 12 volts and you will find your problem.

You likely have a blown fuse. I have heard using the cigarette lighter for charging your cell phone can blow the fuse - was told to use the charger inside the center console for charging my cell phone.
