Question about 2004 Chevrolet Venture Passanger

Open Question

A warning buzzer has come on that is located in the rear cargo area in the jack compartment. It started when I opened the lid to the convenience tray and it will not stop since I've closed it. It only buzzes when put in gear, not in park. Why is it on and how do I turn it off?

SOURCE: i put the key in

Its the buzzer for the key switch so you don't forget to take the key out and its likely a minor problem with the key switch it self . The buzzer can be unpluged listen for the noise when looking under the dash board and unplug it . As long as your not haveing other issues with the key switch and the vehicle is running OK then you realy don't need the buzzer and it won't effect anything else on the vehicle just don't forget your keys good luck with it

Can open my trunk doesn't work with remote or from inside of glove compartment thanks 2005 ssr chevorlet

Rear Compartment Lid
The rear compartment lid can be opened by operating the rear compartment lid release switch, located on the instrument panel, or by using the manual release located on the rear compartment lid. Battery voltage is supplied to the rear compartment lid release relay through the Main Power fuse. The roof and door module (RDM) receives the rear compartment lid release request via the rear compartment lid release switch signal circuit. The RDM grounds the rear compartment lid release relay coil when a release input is received through the instrument panel (I/P) switch. Grounding the coil causes the rear compartment lid release relay to energize, providing power to the rear compartment lid latch assembly through the rear compartment lid release actuator supply voltage circuit.
As an alternate method of operating the rear compartment, an emergency release handle is accessible from within the rear compartment. When the handle is slightly pulled, it will provide a ground for the bed cover release relay which will cause the actuator to operate and open the rear compartment lid. If the handle is pulled further, it will mechanically open the lid, so even if the battery is discharged or there is an electrical concern, the emergency release handle will mechanically open the lid.

Where is the jack on a 2001 jimmy

It should be in the cargo floor area, close to the tailgate. Either lift the carpet and/or look for a compartment door. Or is there a panel on the side of the cargo area. The handle to crank the spare up and down, is there too. If you have a space saver spare, its all going to be together under the carpet. Some vehicles place the jack under the back seat.

If you bought it used, a previous owner may have removed the jack. Hope this helps.

Where would the jack be,purchased it at a repo sale had a flat and couldnt find it

Check under the lid in the rear cargo area some people put them there. It should be located in the left or right access panel in the rear cargo area. Since it's a used vehicle it may still be on the side of the road from the previous owner, I've seen that a lot. Change a tire, in a hurry, jump back in... If either of these proves empty check behind the rear (passenger's) seat gap cover. Thanks for using Fixya and please leave a comment and rate my assistance.

2001 Ford Windstar now starting. Will turn over, but does not seem to be getting fuel. Will starting fluid start so I can get to a shop? Where do I spray? Jeff

There is a safety switch located on the passengers side of the rear cargo area. It is behind the foam in the jack compartment. You may be able to see a red button on it. Push the button down to reset this switch.

There may be a label under the hood showing the location of the Inertia switch. Thats the one.
On some earlier models the switch was on the drivers kickpanel. But after 1998 it was moved to the back cargo area. Now if this does not help, check your fuses and your relay box under the hood.

Starting fluid can go in after the Air filter. But it will only run until the fluid is gone. It will tell you if the problem is spark or fuel and that can help.

I hope you find my solution very helpful.

Where is the jack and tools for spare tire?

CHANGING A FLAT TIRE
Jack Location
In the Durango, the scissor jack and tire changing tools
are stowed under the second row seat.
The jack is secured in place with a winged stud and a
fixed stud. It is very important to secure the jack tightly
in place by engaging the slot in the base to the fixed stud
under the middle seat. The winged stud inserts through
the eyelet in the end of the jack’s worm screw.

Where is the jack in a 2004 Honda Odyssey

Open the tailgate. Remove the cargo net.
The tools and jack are behind a cover in the cargo area on the driver’s side. Remove the cover by turning the handle counterclockwise, then pulling out the cover.
Take the tools out of the storage compartment.
Turn the jack’s end bracket counterclockwise to loosen it, then remove the jack.
Hope this helps you find it.

Can't locate the tire jack in my 1993 izuzu rodeo.

I believe the jack is located behind a plastic panel in the left-rear of the cargo area and the lug wrench is under the bottom of the backseat covered by a flap of carpet.
