There is dust in the unit that has got into the volume control.

You need to by an aerosol of IPA from a computer store (they use this to clean circuit boards etc) take top off the unit, spray lightly inside and then try again. Should be fine now.

How do i tune Mazda Demio (2004 model) radio to Southern African frequencies?

fm frequencies are just that fm frequencies ( not japanese, chinese ,english or anything else
it is a range of frequencies in the fm band that local stations broadcast on
so all you have to do is to turn the tuner knob until you get 107 fm
so as you turn the knob you will loose 89 and it will go probably 90.5 , 100.20, 102.7 etc and if there is a station broadcasting that your radio will pick up it will come in and then fade out as you keep moving the knob
you may have to change the mode as there are fm 1 ,fm 2,fm 3 bands to get your fm 107 as it will depend on what megahertz 107 is operating on

Why can't I change my radio volume control

Double check the knob. If it does not match the "post or stem" on the radio itself, the knob does not go down far enough to engage the post, or is "stripped" OR see if you can turn the stem with pliers. If still can't turn with pliers, try WD-40 or equivelent on the stem, let soak overnight. then try.

Car radio knob keeps turning but no volume from speakers

since all the wires coming to and from radio utilize the same plug-in and the odds of 4-6 speakers all having a bad connection at the same time is astronomical it sounds like a bad radio

I have a 1998 BMW M3, the radio blast, if you turn it off and back on it is normal, if you touch the volume knob it blast, any help.

there is a short in your system , take the radio out and make sure all wires are good. radio could be bad and need to be replaced. if it is hooked to an amp make sure amp settings are correct and wiring is correct and good . (no shorts)

Volume control knob on radio turns volume up at all times

first of all if you live in a cold climate I never turn the radio on until the car warms up if you can remove the knob on the radio spray a light amount of WD 40 and then put the knob back on and turn it back and forth and if you have pop on your hand or water also dry your hands off before touching the radio the lights and the radio will last a lot longer also and also before leaving the car always remember to turn the radio off it will be alot easier on your battery as well
