This motor was just installed. 34000 miles on it installed all the accesories from the old motor starts fine. won't stay running,unless you throttle the pedal all sensors hooked-up all everything hooked-up has fuel,has fuel preasure

Computers rarely fail. The diagnostic would not show anything wrong unless a trouble code is set UNLESS the diagnostic used live data vieew. Most shops dont do that . So at what RPM does it not die? How many miles are on it? Ford uses something called an idle air speed motor. They are prone to fouling.

Turn the key to the on position and listen for a buzzing sound. If you do not hear one you have a bad fuel pump. If you do hear the buzz, Replace the fuel filter. If it is clogged it could starve the engine for fuel which would obviously kill the motor.

Try changing the fuel filter. Chances are when it ran out of gas it sucked all the old gunk and stuff into the lines. If that doesn"t work you may have to take it to a professional to have the gunk sucked out. Also after you change the filter dump some fuel injector cleaner into the tank that should clean up any remaining residue.

Turn off all your accesories and turn the key forward, but dont start it. You should hear the pump kick on for 2-3 seconds. Prime the system a few times then start it. This will narrow your diagnosis

its possible u may have burnt out the pump it uses the fuel to cool the pump

improper maintenance--throttle body needs cleanin etc with tuneup-new plug wires etc----get a repair book at parts place--------tranny is old so it cud be many things-maybe the tv valve that aids in shiftin needs ajust--there are test for the torque convert--a pressure test is done on the fluid-if it is normal then look at other things also like a solenoid, a governor, an accumulator--------scan car and maybe do a fluid and filter change

It's a nag lihgt to remind you to change the oil.

To reset the warning, turn your ignition key to on, but not start. Pump your gas pedal three times quickly and the light will disappear for another 3000 miles.

when you hold the accelerator does the vehicle stay running? if so the problem is in ithe IAC idle air control motor, take a small screw driver and using the handle tap the iac motor and usualy the motor will kick in and the vehicle will run fine then if the problem is rectified replace the IAC

I had a similar problem, do a compression check you may have a valve problem.

Check all grounds running from all electrical, If there is not a good contact this problem will occur, when you locate the ground surface take sandpaper or even a knife and scrape or sand the connector and the ground surface then reconnect it, It should return to normal if not then it could be a solenoid possibly but not sure
