1) Check that both electric fans are working, when the vehicle gets to normal operating temperature, especially with the a/c turned on. 2) The radiator might be partially plugged with mineral deposits, and losing its capacity to cool large amounts of water. Radiators go for $50 or so in the net.

The engine in our 1994 Ford Taurus 3.0L had been running hot and due to a busy schedule I drove it with the heater on for several weeks to keep the temperature gauge down. I purchased a thermostat and...

my guess is a blown head gasket. I would do a compression test on all cylinders to be sure. these engines wont stand much high temperature running before blowing the head gasket. you can rent a compression tester from your local autoparts store usually for free.

My 93 is running high temperature and has begun to smoke what could be the problem

Thermostat could be bad
Low fluid in the rad
Plugged radiator. needs flushing.
Kinked hoses.
Probably smokes because it.s hot or could be leaking as well.

My 99 surburban temp surges 210 t0 260 then goes back to 190 and blows white smoke some times is it the intake gasket

white smoke means coolant is getting into the combustion chamber of the engine which would mean your head gasket is bad. I would change your thermostat too. it doesnt sound like it is working properly. your thermostat is probably getting stuck closed and that is what is leading your temperature to get high. The high heat, or even if your truck over heats a few times, it ruins the integrity of your head gasket.

Engine burning smoke from underside, temperature gauge going up hyundai accent 1997

Smoke could be caused by a leak from head gaskets, replace head gasket, k. Temperature increase could be caused by a defective thermostat or a slightly plugged radiator. Clean radiator and thermostat.

make sure that your fans are working first. to do this. start veh and let idle until it warms up. but if it starts to get hot and fans do not turn on, check fuses. if they work then look for leaks.
