Question about 2001 Daewoo Nubira

Open Question

I have a 2001 daewoo nubira with 184000 miles. Recently it has been running fine then shut off, almost like the key was just turned off, no chug, no warning just dead. We have replaced the fuel pump, filter, coil module and cam sensor recently. The throtle body is also new with all new sensors. We are getting spark, and fuel pressure regulates aroung 40 psi. When it quits, it has to cool off sometimes for hours to restart. It will run well for several days and never die, other times I can go one mile and it will die. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Fuel Reg........

Fuel pressure should not drop more than 5 PSI in 24 hours, the symptom you have is more than one issue, first verify the system holds fuel pressure over night, the pressure regulator will not cause this issue, the check valve built into the fuel pump will. On to the dieing concern, clean the idle speed control air bypass valve and the throttle valve with throttle body cleaner spray with the engine running at high idle, spray in at least 1/2 can of the cleaner, next disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then drive for 2 days under varying conditions to "relearn the idle strategy".

My key won't turn in my 2001 daewoo nubira why?

Try a spare key if you have one... Try a little lubricating oil. If that is your original key and it does not turn after lubricating it might be best to seek the services of a GOOD mechanic to replace the cylinder, you do not want it to suddenly lock up again

Won't start until switch cycled on and off for

either the fuel is draining back into the tank after you shut it off,or the pump is not putting out enough pressure,it should be at least 50psi to fire the car

Ignition key will not turn

The steering wheel lock is preventing you from turning the ignition tumbler. Especially when the tires are turned all the way in one direction this can be very difficult to get free. What you need to do is wriggle the key as you attempt to move the steering wheel in the direction that it is already turned, it will take some force, but eventually the wheel will give just enough play to allow the key to turn and it will be just fine
