  1. Turn your Ford F-Series off before you remove the blown fuse. Look for the fuse box, located below and left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal.
    Remove the panel cover by turning the fasteners counterclockwise to reveal the fuses. Look on the inside of that cover to find the location of the fuse you need.

    1. 3Use the fuse puller that is on the fuse box cover to remove the fuse. Check the inside wire to see if it is melted or broken.

    2. 4Find a fuse of the same rating to replace the blown fuse. In our example, in Step 2 the hazard light needs a 20 amp fuse.

    3. 5Click the fuse into place securely and close the fuse box. Check that it's working once your restart your truck.

Try unplugging the power control module. If the fuse still blows its wiring if it doesn't I would guess the power control module is bad.

08 ford lariat f150. Fuse 14 keeps blowing. The starter engages while running and blows the fuse. The starter is not on fuse 14, any suggestions?

What engine ? Fuse 14 , where > under hood fuse box or inside fuse box ? If central junction box inside vehicle ,that fuse powers the heated PCV - positive crankcase ventilation valve . 10 amp fuse . Also powers ,digital transmission range sensor . Your digital range sensor is probably shorted inside . This could cause the problem your having .

My PCM feed fuse, number 7 under the hood, keeps blowing.. any ideas why this might be happening? its a police package model

Check wiring for a short might have rubbed through and earthing see if it blows a higher amp fuse .

My 97 ford f 150 , the fuse number 7 under the hood alway gets burnt, my tail parking lights and dash light wont work,, i open the lights then boom the fuse burns out?? every thing else works but the...

There is a short somewhere in that power supply circuit. It is not going to be any fun to find and all you can do is inspect every inch of each wire.

I have 97 ford mustang gt v8 4.6 engine as i was driving home one day my car died check the 20amp fuse that was blown and small 30amp under the hood. replace the fuse blown again crank the car up the theft...

The twenty amp maxi fuse in the under the hood fuse panel goes to, you guessed it, the fuel pump. It sounds to me like you have a short to ground in the wiring that keeps popping this fuse. Find and fix the short, or you will keep blowing fuses.
