Interior lights do not work when door is opened or when turned on by switch on the dash board. I've checked the fuse and both the bulbs and they are all ok. What could be the problem?

    I checked the door switches on the two front doors and they tested good. I'm not sure how to test the sliding doors or the rear hatch.

I'm assuming you have 12 volts to the bulbs. Your issue is most likely related to the door switch and is mounted inside the door sill area and looks like this;

    When pushed in it creates an open circuit, when plunger is out, it closes (connects) the circuit. Sorry for the delay in responding, Comcast decided to drop out again.

    They operate the same way, although they are shaped differently and will require you to remove a panel.

Check the tail light bulbs, check to make sure the dash lighting switch is turned up but not turned so far up that the interior lights come on when the door is closed.

I need to know wheres the fuse box located for a 1999 ford expedition my interior lights will not go off...

If a fuse is blown for your interior lights they will not light at all. the fuse panel is on the driver side end of dash where the door touches the dash board, can only access with the door open and small 7'x6" cover is removed, it pulls off by hand

I need help! The interior lights do not work in my trail blazer when i open my car door

check the fuses?
check the switch on the door? usually hinge area.
check the manual control(not sure on this model, sometimes part of the dimmer for the dash lights. It will click one side or the other to lock the interior lights on)
Usually it is the fuse or the door jamb switch.
Oh and dont forget the bulb itself and the switch near the bulb.

Grand vitara 1999 when door open inside lights do not turn on

There should be a switch on the dash that controls the interior lights on the vehicle. It might be part of the dimmer switch. Usually the switch will turn on the interior lights in one position, off but on when door is open in another, then off all the time in the third position. Check this switch and verify that it is not in the off position. If the switch is in the correct position then the door swicth located on the inside of the door might be sticking. Check the switch stem/button action and makes sure it fully pushes in and out. Also verify that the interior bulb is good(not burned out) and that the fuse for the interor light is not burned out.

Door open light switch problem

First check to see if voltage is actually going to the bulb at the "dome" light etc. when you open the door... Then check to see if you have proper ground at dome light.. If not check wiring harness to the switches at door usually located in the door jam area.... remove switcvh and inspect for missing wires that go to the dome light some times the dome light is connected to a switch on the dash check this first....basics always first, fuses and connections then fallow the wire as a last resort..
