My 2001 Olds Aurora idles rough, could it be the map sensor, or mass air flow sensor. It runs fine going down the road.

If this is the 4.0L engine it is very common to have the Air Intake Plenum gasket crack. About a $30.00 part and 2 hours labor.
First, see if you have any codes. For the situation I describe about you should see P0171/P0174.
The other sensors could also be the issue. Most ODB-II scanners will allow you to read "live data". This will go a long way in telling you where the problem is.

It could be the mass air flow or manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) ; usually has just one or the other. The idle air control valve can also cause this. Sometimes the O2 (oxygen) sensors can cause this as well. If it runs fine going down the road then I would check the Idle Air Control Valve first.

Where is the MAP sensor located on a 95 olds aurora?

mass airflow sensor(MAF), is located in the airway between the throttle body and the air filter of an engine.
i suggest you to clean the sensor from all dirt to make the sensor accurate air flow readings.

I have a 2003 olds aurora and my engine runs rough after i start (idles) and i have a check engine light that had it checked and they thought it was running lean so i changed the fuel injectors and it...

They say running lean, did you happen to get the code. Could be a number of things. I would start by checking vacuum lines, confirm they have no leaks, cracks, and have all in correct places. Second o2 sensors, confirm they are good. Third check and make sure you throttle and intake are clean, and check the throttle position sensor and mass air flow sensor to make sure they are working correctly. Good Luck.

My 2004 toyota tacoma has a rough idling problems and I was told to replace MAP sensor. Now, would it be Mass air flow sensor ? Because I can not locate any info on MAP sensor of this yeat truck

Yes your truck is equipped with a mass airflow sensor (MAF). However, I would not just replace that because its running rough. I would begin diagnostics by first checking to see if there were any trouble codes in the engine to give you a clue as to the rough running condition. I would expect a trouble code to be present to support the descision to replace the MAF Sensor. If no codes are present I would suggest that you get the vehicle tuned up. (Spark plug replacement and throttle body cleaning and I would also suggest removing the idle control valve and cleaning the carbon and dirt out of it. Although what you were told might be correct I dont belive that is where I would start.

2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse coding P0102; running rough at idle and seems to be in default; won't tach past 4K...any ideas? V/6

P0102 = MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) circuit - low input. This sensor tells the engine computer how much air is entering the engine. The engine computer uses this sensor's signal to calculate the fuel map (fuel-to-air ratio). The 'Low Input" means the computer isn't getting any signal from it.... this is why it won't go past 4k.

Sounds like a bad fuel injector. Shop would need to run a contribution test to confirm. I must say, good detective work, good luck.
