THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT INSIDE THE FUEL TANK IS MOST LIKELY BAD. THE SENDING UNIT IS PART OF THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. IF YOU DISCONECT THE HARNESS AT FUEL PUMP AND GAUGE GOES TO EMPTY THE UNIT IS BAD

2005 dodge stratus PO720, PO700, and U110c came up, BCM part of the last code ( fuel level) ?

Did you actually erase the codes after the first time?
Sounds like the speed sensor lost contact first, then the transmission went into limp home mode? So everything's fine now, contact was restored with the speed sensor. BCM is the body control module, kind of a nutty professor's idea to centralize a lot of body electrical wiring into a single control module, seems to cause more problems than it alleviates. Wouldn't be surprised if the speed sensor and the fuel level, like the rest of the dash cxluster is not all routed through the BCM. Well, it works now. When the problem re-occurs, you'll maybe be able to snuff it out. Bood luck.

My gas gauge is going crazy

You have to replace the fuel level sensor. And you would have to remove the fuel tank to do this

When gas tank is 1/4 full and I fill it up it doesn't show I have a full tank until I drive 15 miles.

Normal. There is a resister in the fuel level circuit that slows down fuel level readings. A gauge that responded instantly to a sloshing fuel level every time you went over a bump or around a turn would drive you crazy.

My son has a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo SS and his fuel guage constantly moves up and down, which makes it impossible to know what the fuel level is in the fuel tank. What would cause this movement and about...

HI, this a common failure for GMs the fuel level sender is faulty. It will probably start to set a SES light if it doesn't drive you crazy by then. The only good thing for you is that the gas tank doesn't need to be removed to change this GM was nice enough to give us a access panel.

Po463 fuel level sensor circuit voltage too high. how to fix

Hello. There are several possible causes of your issue. Replacing parts to find the root cause is an expensive route for you. Why not drive to an AAMCO and have them give you the free computer scan which may pinpoint the issue. On the otherhand, nothing may show up. To prevent running out of fuel be sure to maintain a log of fuel use. Good luck. Joe

1996 3.1L Pontiac Grand AM all gauges went crazy

sometimes when the battery is too low the gages will go haywire.check you battery terminals for good conductivity and current levels. sounds like a low current problem.computer runs on 12 volts not 11 or 10. low current will give poor performance and bad electrical response.
try that first then look for shorts under the dash ie naked wires or burnt wires.
good luck.

My 1994 Ford Thunderbird now smokes when I start it - no noises in the engine, but smokes like crazy. Check engine light is one now?

state what color the smoke is. White smoke is antifreeze. Gray smoke is fuel, and black smoke is oil. Also have the computer scanned so you know why the light is on.
