Hiya,

I think you'll find it has always been doing it, but you may not have noticed.

It is perfectly normal and is nothing to worry about. Just means that the immobiliser system is working

Maint. req. light blinks 10 times after start up?

When a Honda Maint Req light blinks, but then stops, it is telling you to change your oil. If you don't change it, eventually, the maint req light will stay on. Here is how you reset the maint req light: 1) Turn they key to the II position
2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button
3) Turn they key back to the II position, while still holding the odometer button.
4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.

If that doesn't work, try it this way: p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Verdana}

With the igniition off, press and hold the odometer button, turn the key to the "on" position, but do not start the car. Keep the odometer button down until the oil light begins and ends flashing. Turn the key off, and then start car to see if it worked or not.

Security light stays on and vehicle won't start

Try keeping the key in position for at least ten to twenty minutes, the security light may be blinking .
Leave it as such for twenty minutes and then turn off the key and then again turn the key on and try to start , it must reset the security system.

Brake light comes on auto each time you start the car (saftey check) and will go off when you press brake pedal.

Blinking arrow will stop when you click seat belt together (driver)

turn ign off press key in towards drive stem and turn anti clock (5degs)and pull out

Put in key hold in mileage reset button and turn key to on (dont start the car )the last click before starting (and keep finger on miles reset button till flashing stops
then turn off ,this resets all service lights,

2003 malibu won't start. Will turn over fine and it amost starts if you leave it for awhile. Hoping its just fuel filter. If so how do I replace it ?? Thanks.

I just had this on my car too. Turn the key to "on" without starting the engine. Look at the display and see if the Anit-Theft light is blinking. If it is, you need to keep your key in the on position for about 15 minutes until the light stops blinking. Start the car when the light starts blinking.

Glitch in theft system wont let me start car

If you have added a pcm you have to turn the key to the on position try to start the car and then keep the key on the on position the theft light should blink for around ten min. when it stops blinking turn the key off for 5 sec then restart the car. It may take up to 3 trys. This is basically the passcode reader for the pcm.

Changed battery, now it won't start. Tells me anti theft system needs to be reset

Turn your key to ON, Not start, just to on. The theft light should start blinking. Let it blink until it stops. Could take up to 10 minutes or so, let it go until it stops. Then it should be reset.

2000 Alero Security light flashing and wont start

With the new lock cylinder in it, turn the key on. The security light should blink. Leave the key on for 10 minutes, the security light will quit blinking and go out after 10 min. This will reprogram your security system and the car should start. Also leave a battery charger on it while the key is on, If the battery goes dead during the 10 minute reprogram sequence, you will have to start over again.
