Why does my car sound like something's still running? I turned it off 1 hour ago.

(red-hot,) carbon build-up in the cylinders are burning fuel/air in the cylinder which creates more heat; turning the crankshaft and dumping more fuel/air in to the cylinder which is again ignited by the carbon....and so on. This is called 'dieseling' because it is essentially how a diesel engine also runs, (they have glow-plugs rather than spark-plugs.) This was far more common back when there was leaded-gas. Lead deposits form more quickly. Find som over the counter gas treatment for carbon build-up, and quickly. It is NOT good for your car.

Overheating and airconditioner stopped blowing cold air at same time

When your vehicle overheats, the computer shuts off the A/C compressor to protect the engine by reducing the extra load.

Have the cooling system serviced, once fixed, the A/C should work fine.

Don't forget to rate this post. Good Luck!!!

My airconditioner is not working it only blows out hot air

Hi! Airconditioner failure has lots of causes. It may have a freon leak, faulty expansion valve, dirty drier and evaporator. Have this checked and fix and will surely resolve the problem. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Airconditioner cooling not workign despite three

I would check the system pressure. You can buy a leak detector. I would check all the fittings on the lines, around the compressor, condenser, and evaporator.

No cold air & at same time resevoir has brown residue caked to si

Engine probably needs a cooling system flush and replace coolant with new Long Life Anti-Freeze, check condition of serpentine belt at same time. A/C system probably needs a recharge at your local shop.

2002 Buick LeSabre Limited. Airconditioner cools

The dual air on this car has two temp control motors that are electronic. You need to have the car scaned at a dealer to see if it has a code for the left temp feed back circuit. If so you will need to replace the temp control motor for that side.Good Luck

2006 ford focus airconditioner couldn't cool contineously

Sounds like it needs a coolant recharge. Many parts shops in the US will sell DIY AirCon recharge kits. Check the DIY sites, but basically, you can do this recharge without opening the hood-I believe the high-pressure connection is in the left side front wheel well.

Airconditioner will not cool when vehicle is idling. But does cool when vehicle is accelerating.

the compression of your compressor is getting low. there are leaky valves that is why only at high speed the compressor would work right.

is you compressor noisy? that is a sign of a bad compressor.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Car Airconditioner giving stange clunking noise and hisses in engine compartment

its a sure problem due to mechanical failure done/occured due to vehical's sudden jurk, or mal fixing of A/C elements during vehical serives, kindly go for the company serive station, without wasting much of time, as due to perssure building up in compressor may lead to further damage to the system, and please avoid you yourself fixing of the things, if you are not well expertised in it. thank you.
