The rubber scrapper seal is pushing too hard on glass... open window fully, slide fingers down between inner and out rubber scrappers (where the window has dropped down into) and try to make the gap bigger.

Then clean the window(s) with household window cleaner or vinegar and old newspaper.. dirty windows can cause friction.

Do this job as soon as possible as you could break the window motor.

Kind regards

How do i get the locks to work on a olds 88

Something could be blocking the window from going all the way down. Window motor may also be dying. Best way to find out is to take the interior door panel off and check out what may be out of place.

Steering Wheel noises

What kind of noice are we talking about. If it is a wining noice it could be the power stearing pump but if it is a grinding noice it would be best to change the whole column it will save you alot of headache.

My 1998 honda civic died when i was driving it. It cranks but dosn't start it also makes a noice at the beginning could it be the fuel pump?

How many miles are on it? Did you have the timing belt changed at 90,000 miles? Is there spark to the spark plugs? Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? A broken timing belt will make the car sound alot different than normal when cranking.

1995 chevy cavalier making a cliking louuth noice when i stared the car when it warm the noice desapeares

That noise is play between the lifters and the push rods inside the valve cover. It is common in alot of engines to make that noise when cold. After the engine warms up the rods and lifters metal expands from heat and disappears also caused by oil taking longer to lubricate in between.Running a lighter oil like 5w30 in the winter compared to 10w30 can signifigantly reduse the noise as well. Most of them can be adjusted with feeler gauges and some are automatically set by hydraulics.Hope this helps, its not very serious, just more annoying to listen to lol

Very loud noice upon starting, last only a second, sometimes beetle revs up engine on its own. also sounds like a motor boat when running the a/c, driver side window has a mind of her own.

I think I know the noise you are describing. I work on alot of these and about 75% or them do it. It is like a squawking noise as the starter stops turning. It won't hurt any thing and the only way to fix it is to replace the starter.

My drivers side window goes down when i start it.

ok, this sounds like either a faulty window switch from getting wet when it got rained on or a short in the wiring between drivers door and frame.

My guess that the wiring between the drivers door opening and frame---from opening and closing door---could have pinched or rubbed between door and frame causing it to ground out when starting the car making window switch go crazy-----even if replaced with new window switch wont solve this problem.

Check the wiring comming out of drivers door going to hole in frame toward under the dashboard and see if there is any pinched or rubbed through wiring there---move wires to avoid pinching and rubbing and tape with black electrical tape.

Alot of vehichles with electric door locks and windows had this problem.

Some vehichles are so bad that windows go up and down while driving and door locks locking and unlocking too----Just like a "Devil" posessed vehichle----lol

Drivers side window goes down but not up

Sounds like you need a new window motor, if it goes down slow with gravity to help, and won't go up means its tired and needs replaced.
