Hi, the washer pump is located in the bottom of the washer bottle that you fill up you may need to get to this from under neath the car.

if you have a look at where you fill the washer bottle up and follow it to the very bottom you will then see the pump if you have rear wash as well then you will have 2 pumps one for front and one for the back.

now if you cant hear the one pump working then the chances are the pump needs replacing if they both dont work then i would check fuses first, if you can hear the pump work but no water comes out then give the water jets a good poke with a pin and this should get them working

if you do need to replace the pump get to the bottom of the washer from under the car and you should then see the pumps in the bottom of the bottle now you need to pull the wire connectors off they are only a push fit and then to get the pump out you need to twist it out the pump is only pushed into a rubber bung in the bottom of the washer bottle so its not held in by bolts or screws its just a push fit.

if you buy the new pump first you will see what i mean about it being a push fit once you have the old one out just push the new one in the replace the wires and rubber hose and then give it a try.

if you have any problems give me a shout back ok

It's most likely the water pump. w When they wear out they start to let fluid seep out a hole on the bottom of the pump. Replacement is the cure.

Depending on which fuses are blowing, you may have shorted a wire in the harness to the fuel tank.

Why won't my 98 tahoe start after it was sitting for a year? i bought a new battery so that is not it.

Did you put stablizer in the gas before storing it? Does the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when the ign is turned ? Have you checked the air cleaner for debris? Do you have spark? You must have air/fuel/spark to start.

98 Cherokee Front Washer Pump Inop, rear pump o-k, Same Pump?

Different pumps. They are both located side by side on the bottom of the washer reservoir.
They are cheap and easy to replace, or just move the wires from one to the other, then your front will work and not the rears.
