HI. The code and its respective definition will be located below:

P0108 --- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High

Here are a few possible causes for the high signal transfer of the circuit:

  • Leaking EGR valve
  • Vacuum leaks
  • Dirty fuel injectors
  • Wrong fuel pressure
  • Low engine compression
  • Ignition miss
  • Carbon deposits on the intake valves
  • Valve problems
Check the engine for the above faults. If all the points above check out Ok; Replace the MAP sensor.

    • Do not expect for the MAP sensor signal to be normal if the engine has a problem that causes low manifold vacuum. Make sure you check those areas of concern i posted before replacing that sensor.

Your MAP (Manifold Atmospheric Pressure) sensor is bad. You'll need to replace it. It is showing a a high voltage reading which will cause the ECM to inaccurately read the manifold pressure which will in turn provide the incorrect amount of fuel and ignition timing which will cause the vehicle to run poorly resulting in lower mpg. .

P0108 - BARO Sensor High Voltage Detected Sensor operating voltage is greater than 5.0 volts (VREF), as a result it failed above maximum allowable calibrated parameter. VREF shorted to VWPR
BARO signal shorted to VPWR
Damaged BARO sensor
Damaged PCM
VREF should be less than 6.0 volts. PID reading is in frequency

Hope helps.

Code po108 on 2004 Malibu Maxx Lt

This code is for the MAP sensor. It sets when excessive voltage is sent from the MAP sensor to the computer. Most common correction is to replace map sensor, however, it could also be caused by a bad computer or wiring issue

Hoe to fix Chrysler 300M: 99 30m Chrysler have the codes po700,po734,po733,po122,po113,po108

codes PO700, PO733, PO734 are all transmission codes all have to do with inproper outputshaft speed could be a bad outut shaft sensor but most likely the transmission is slipping, and that is not good if the transmission is shipping you will need to replace it, but try chaning the fluid and filter and and see if that does not take care of the problem.

code PO122 is the TPS sensor, code PO108 is the MAP sensor the MAP sensor can set the TPS code but the TPS can not set the MAP code so i would start with the MAP sensor ..... code PO113 is the intake air temp. sensor check the wiring on the top of the engine to make suer there is not a bad spot in the harness if all looks good then replace the sensor, but the way all 3 sensors use a commoin ground circuit so check the wiring before you replace any of the sensors......good luck

Code P0108 means your MAP sensor circuit is open. MAP means Manifold Absolute Pressure. You should be able to buy one at your local parts store - otherwise, the dealer.

Check engine light on and code po108

PO108 (map circuit high input) MAP is manifold absolute pressure... a sensor normally mounted on the intake. your code is suggesting a problem with this sensor, or its circuitry.
