If engine don't start by it's self, jump start it, remove jumper cable's, with volt meter, check voltage at battery, with engine running, should have no less then 13 volts at battery, that alternator out put voltage, if less then 12.6 volts bad alternator, hope this was very helpful.

Hi.

Get a multimeter and read Volts across the two battery terminals.

With engine off it should read about 12.5, by turning on the engine and revving i up a bit it should read about 13.5/14 Volts. If voltage remains unchanged, then the alternator is not working.

My 2008 Camry was running fine, no warning lights on. Came out of the grocery store and it would not start, all the lights game on but it acted is if the battery was low. Got a jump start, drove two blocks...

It may be that the battery is bad where it won't take a charge from the alternator so it should be checked for that using test equipment, most autoparts stores like Autozone, Kragen, Advance Auto provide this service at no charge, since it's an 08 there is a chance that it may still be covered under the toyota factory which is 3yrs/36,000 miles for electrical parts.

I suggest taking the battery out and have it tested first. the heat can kill the charge on a battery even though it is only a few tears old. if the battery test good then have the alternator checked.the alternator on your car is on the right side of the car near the rear of the engine compartment.

What fuse controls the 12V chargers in a 2008 Camry? I see nothing straightfoward in the fuse box diagram under the hood. "charging system" is the closest match, but I'm suspect that it is linked...

Hi, look for a fuse marked CIG for the lighter. Look for one marked P/POINT or PWR OUTLET for the aux outlets. These fuses may be by the battery or inside the car.
I don't have diagrams for 2008, but these are the labels in the 2006 diagram.

My 2007 Toyota Camry is putting out 13.6 Volts in the alternator. Is it over amping?

I do not believe so this should be ok. Normally alternator puts out more than 12 volts. When it is less than 12 is when it is going out.

Check battery light on with no apparent fault How do I reset it.

U can't reset the light, there is no way to do that except by fixing the problem that turned it on, which is the alternator has a faulty diode.

My 2007 toyota camry's battery keeps draing or dying.

I am almost certain that it is a faulty DIODE in your alternator.. You can check this out for free by taking your vehicle to a Checker/Schucks/or Kragen Auto, or Auto Zone. Just request a Charging System Test. If it is, in fact your problem, you will need to puchase a new alternator.
