you have taken the battery off wrong it negative off the battery first, then the positive wire. taking off live wire first then butting it back on will blow a number of things even the ecu/ abs units.

Is the 2003 cavalier a top mount or side mount battery?

You can call your local parts store and have them to look up the battery for this particular model. They can look at the battery and tell you if it has top or side posts. Most newer vehicles (especially passenger cars) will have side posts.

Changed battery on 2003 toyota echo but when i put the new one in and start i have no power the new battery is fully charged 12.7 volts put old battery back in car starts is there a special procedure for...

Check the new battery posts(connections if side terminal) alot of the battery companies put a protective coating on and it has to be removed. Use wire brush or sandpaper to clean them and you should be fine.

How do I replace the battery in a 2003 pontiac montana? I can't hardly even see the battery for all the stuff on top and surrounding it. Is there a trick to this??

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure the radio is turned off. If left on, the radio will ask you for the radio code to have it work again.
  • You have to remove the round bar on the passenger side. There are two bolts in front and one in the back by hood hinge. The round bar slides out of the relay box.
  • Remove the wire connecting to the relay box to the battery by removing the holding nut. Lay the relay box over - towards the motor.
  • Remove the hold-down bolt located on the backside of the battery at the bottom.
  • Remove the batter posts bolts. Remove old battery.
Put new battery in and reverse the above steps. Good luck and keep me posted.

How do you replace the horn on a 1995 Chevy Cavalier?

if it is infact the horn and not the wiring you can take off the old one and replace it with one that is working.
you can test a horn using a car battery and 2 wires.
take the 2 wires and attatch to either post or connection spot on the horn then put on wire to the positice and one to the negative. if it doesn't work the first time reverse the wires and try again. if it doesn't work either time you will need ot go get a new horn.

judging by labor times if its the 2.2 liter it only pays 8/10ths , can't be that bad , if its the 2.4liter , it pays 1.2 hrs , could be a little more tricky. good luck with that
