It will be either a gas cap seal, blocked gas vent or EVAP / carbon canistor purge valve fault.

P0305 and P0014 can one afect the other and how to fix

PO305 is cylinder #5 misfire.
PO014 is Camshaft position fault.
The camshaft determines which valves open and when. If the cam is out of position (called "jumped timing"), several bad things can happen. Usually an engine that has jumped time will not start or will run very roughly with little to no power if it does start.
Chances of jumped timing are low, but in a high-mileage engine, not impossible. More likely is a faulty cam position sensor or wiring. Misfiring of one or more cylinders is quite likely in this condition.
Additionally, once the cause has been corrected and the computer codes reset and cleared, you may very well get an emissions error code, as actual cylinder misfiring (even running out of gas) is notorious for causing emission control, catalytic converter and O2 sensor failures (any code between PO400-PO499).

Code po499

You need to Google any codes you get,
then read up on the cause & solution

OBD PO499 etc

You will need the Evap System Smoke Tested,
as well as a scan tool or a way to actuate various
solenoids, not something you can do at home

Warranty questions will be in your owners manual
& you can check with a dealer

Check engine light came on book says it is a problem with the exhaust system, so I am thinking egr valve and if so where is it on this engine?

EGR valve failures are very rare. The check engine light coming on means that the engine computer has stored a fault code. The code you are getting from your computer coinsides with a troubleshooting tree in the service manual. Fault codes NEVER tell you what parts to replace. They only tell you which of the many systems monitored by the computer is operating outside its expected "Range" or "Window of Operation" Fault codes must be properly diagnosed to determine the actual cause of the system malfunction before any effective repairs can take place.

Spitting and sputtering dose not go over 20 mph no codes in computer check engine lite goes on and off computer says every thing operating fine according to code book need it fix any suggestions

If your check engine light is going on and off this usually indicates a misfire condition there should be codes inside your computer for the misfire circuit usually it would be PO300 for mulitiple cylinder misfire P0301 would be cylinder 1 and so forth recheck your computer for codes because with a misfire it will definatly set a hard code....

I have a 1994 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale. The check engine light is on and when warm it dies while being driven. It will start back up immediately, but will die again after a short period. I have an Equus...

You can either take it to Advance Auto - Auto Zone or Pep Boys as these 3 do systems checks.

Try taking down the VIN# - call a dealer and ask about recalls or Service Bulletins.
Best of it

My CHECK ENGINE SOON doesn't go offl. How do I reset the computer?

To reset the computer, make sure the ignition is turned off and disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. If the check engine light comes back on again you need to scan the computer to find a code and figure out what the problem is. If you don't know how to do this you could take it somewhere, or you could go to the library and get a booked with some information on this. But here's how you do it. Get a short jumper wire, and find a Computer Data link. It should be under the driver's side dashboard. Put the jumper wire in terminal 5 and terminal 6, or terminal B and terminal A. Turn the ignition on but do not crank the engine this could damage the computer. Then watched the check engine light, one flash pause three flashes, this would be code 13 the code will flash three times and then display any stored codes. A book from the library say would have these codes in them so you could look up. Knowing that codes will not tell you what strong but it will point you in the right direction. Good luck.
