Morning Thave a VW polo 1600i 8V Can you please explain to me how to refit the timing belt but please explain all the maks and settings for I have not removed the belt Thanks Chris

Timing Belts are actually easy to change....... IF you take extra EXTRA care when replacing to have ALL the pointers lined up..... I am not sure about the VW... but I have done a few over the years.... Toyota mainly....... but if you have not done a Timing Belt before I strongly recommend you go to a Mechanic to have it done............. You just need to be ONE TOOTH out and it is a new engine.......

I want to install new cam shafts on my Ford Puma after the timing belt snapped, How do I set the cams for TDC?

what damage was incurred when the belt broke if any. why are you changing the cams? if the damage has been rectified and you just want to change the cams find the timing marks on the relevant locations (ie) crankshaft and engine timing mark then the cams should only fit one way as there should be a locating dowl in the cams with timing marks on toothed cog

ON THIS CAR WHEN DOES THE TIMING BELT NEED TO BE CHANGED ?

your timing belt needs to be replaced every 90,000 miles on the older cars they are to be replaced at every 60,000 miles. but if it was me i would do every 60k just because breaking a timing belt can cost you a motor and for your camery that can cost up to 2000 for a rebuilt motor.

Does a 2004 camery have a timing belt or a timing chain

2004 Camery has a TIMING BELT.

Recommend to be changed at 90,000 miles or 72/moths.

Hope this tip helps.

99 camery solara...ratlingnoise front left wheel,

Strut tops are a common failure on the 97-01 era Camry/Solaras.

They will make a hollow rattle sound whenever you hit bumps or uneven pavement.

They can be replaced one at a time, and do not require strut replacement if your old struts are still in good shape.
Replacement does require a strut compressor and an alignment afterwards, placing it outside the scope of most do-it-yourselfers.

It is labeled "suspension support" in the following diagram. The bearing below it is typically replaced at the same time.

I have a v6 2.5 liter camery with a delay in take off power i think it is a timing problem because it just had timing belt replaced is there away to adjust timing

you may adjust the distributor cap, this may not fully solve your problem. If the belt was recently changed, I'd recommend having the shop/mechanic(who worked on this) check the timing. The belt will need to be removed and reset properly if it offset. Many mechanics offset timing belts on these engines due to lack of knowledge on these engines proper settings. Hopefully this helps...please rate...thanks!!
