Hello, the only thing I can recommend is to double check all of the trans mount nuts and bolts and the trans subframe bolts for looseness. This is usually the most common cause for that type of concern.

Sounds like a worn selector shaft in the gearbox. If it is it will need stripping and replacing. Better just to get another seconhand box. It could also be the clutch spline cover fingers worn so the clutch will not engage properly. Both will need the box out to find out.

When a clutch goes out, it first gives a warning by slipping for a period of time. If not corrected, eventually there will be "nothing there".
