Modern cars WILL burn oil at the rate of a pint every 1000 miles(some less, some more)makers say that a pint every 350miles is "acceptable".I do not agree,if you are burning oil at less than 1000miles you need to look at rings/guides,for starters...at least.
on a 14year old car/average mileage i would also suggest using SAE 20/50 oil non synthetic.

How much oil should normally be burnt on a Peugeot 207. 2007. 1.6 L auto. 5 door hatch if motor is in very good cond between oil changes (have done approx. 5000kms)

Anon, You really should look in your manual or contact manufacturer to find what is considered normal oil consumption. I have never owned a Peugeot, but have had numerous other makes, mostly domestics to USA and Canada and never had to add oil between changes at approx. 5000 Km.s before oil changes.

You can see from all these comments, there are as many different views about oil...

Believe it or not, it is normal for these engines to use about a quart every 2000 even when they are essentially new. Note that I said, "use", not "burn". The combination of higher compression and operating temperatures causes oil to pass through the engine. You might notice your tail pipes have a good coating on the inside. I managed to slow the process by converting to Mobil 1 0W40. I get much better performance and I only use a quart every 3500-4000.

Chrysler voyager 3.3 auto oil capacity

5 qts ,check dipstick dont overfill, bring up to top of fill line. I always get 6 qts. my car uses about 1/4 quart every few tanks of gas, always check oil levels every fill up. Low oil does alot of engine damage

2005 town and country 3.8 using oil. no leaks 2qts every 3000 miles. any ideas please?

For that type of oil consumption there must be traces of smoke at some time. If there is smoke at start-up and when you lift your foot off the pedal to slow down, the valve stem seals are leaking. If the smoke is predominantly seem under acceleration and normal driving, the oil seal rings are allowing oil into the cylinder/s. At present the oil consumption and cost (if there is no excessive smoke) will be a lit less than the repair of either of the factors I have mentioned above. Try changing to another brand of oil (synthetic oil seem to contribute to high oil consumption). Try a heavier brand of mineral oil, at least a 20W-50 or even a 60 for older engines. Go for an oil that is marketed and backed by a reputable company with a petroleum back round.

Cant find adjustment for headlight on my grand voyager. Also wondering where the oil filter and plug is

Depends on year but adjustment of light is normally on the top adjustment nuts on the headlight assembly.
Oil filter will normally be on the forward passenger side bottom of the motor and plug on the oil pan on the driver side bottom of engine just before the transmission.

I have one of these cars too, also 3.5. I purchased with 34K and has used a quart of oil every 1000 miles since then. It has no leaks or smoke or any other signs of oil consumption. So much research, nobody knows why these engines do this, some have gone as far as contacting Chrysler just for them to say, " that's normal". But here is the diagram for the PCV:

2006 Chrysler Minivan - oil consumption - time is running out

I do not believe there is a fix by Chrysler. My van has 50000 and seems oil consumption is getting worse. It is either past the valve seals or the piston oil control ring. I believe Chrysler KNOWS ALL ABOUT THIS! If you google search this there are to many complaints! 1 quart every 3 thousand miles is not exceptable unless you are driving a model T!
