Question about 1995 Nissan Pickup

1 Answer

After driving the truck for some time I stoped at a residence and shut down the motor. It would not restart. All lights were working fine and no battery light was on. Also truck was running fine with no hesitation or falter. The fuel pump would engage and when the key was turned and clutch was depresed you could hear the solenoid click, but starter would not engage.

Why does my 2003 pontiac sunfire lose all power while driving

That can be the symptom of a bad Ignition Control Module, or also a bad crank position sensor. The ICM can be taken off and tested for free at any parts store. The crank sensor circuit can be tested on the car with a multi-meter. Also small motors (like a fuel pump motor) that are starting to fail can sometimes work until they get hot and then stop working until they cool down again.

Next time the car shuts down and won't restart, check for spark on a spark plug wire with the engine cranking over. If you have no spark, suspect the ignition control module or the crank position sensor. If you still have spark, but won't start, check if the fuel pump is putting gas up to the engine.

Hi,
Get your Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) checked, it could be old or low. May be time for Transmission flush, too.

2004 ford f350diesle hard starting depress throtle nothing there

Dear dsmalley427,
I think it sounds like a fuel injection problem. You get fuel for a while until the injector backs up and then all of a sudden NO FUEL. The engine quits and the pressure drops and flow returns enough for you to restart. If I were you I would get to a good mechanic and check the fuel injectors.
OR--try adding a fuel additive that would clean the injectors.--Signed jwr

Sounds like the oil pump went bad.
Also check the oil sending unit, and the antiknock sensor.

hey
Have you had done or done any electrical work lately? It would appear that yes, either the daytime running light relay, or an auto-shut off relay is confused and it energizing when it is not supposed to.
i suggest to Take it to the dealer, they will know what to do.
other thing that can be possible is:electrial schematics and trace the control system for the lights. Most likely, if you have done electrial work, then it is a crossed wire. If not, then either a bad relay, or bad computer module is at fault
