Question about 2002 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

I have a creaking sound coming from the driver side rear. I hear it when I take off and on uneven roads. I can also push down on the back bumper and I hear the sound. I have a 2009 Kia Sedona with 42000 miles on it. Could it be a shock?

Sounds like one of the attaching bolts in the suspension has come loose slightly or it could be a worn bush.

Pacifica makes loud creak when turning rear suspension

bolt may have come out or grommet is shot, if you crawl under with a flashlight and have somebody lean on the fender and push up and down you may be able to see what it is, don't get squished however

Ford ka creaking on drivers side when driving over bumps in road or turning

Is this a suspension creak, or a door creak?

Components which you haven't had changed are:

bottom suspension arms
Anti roll bar links

Also lubricate your door lock mechanism, hinges and window rubbers as these can cause creaks from time to time.

Creaking in rear when driving?

If your technician said that it is not a safety issue, then I'm going to assume that he is talking about the sway bar bushings. This is the bar that runs across the back of the car and connects to each side of the suspension. You can removed those bushings by undoing the two metal cages that hold them in (one on each side in the center of the sway bar), and apply grease to where the bar rides against the bushings. This will take care of your annoying squeak. It isn't a safety issue but can be really annoying.

Creaking noise coming from driver side rear drum after replacement

When turning left or right steering makes a creaking noise mainly from drivers side wheel, also when stationary drivers side makes creaking noise when pushing down on the wing, after the car has cooled...

This sound is coming from your strut. Sometimes they will get water in the seals, or dirt, and they will start creaking exactly as you describe. This isn't a big problem unless you can't live with it, and if this is the case, just replace the strut on that side. When the car bounces when you press on that side, then you need to worry about that strut, but otherwise, it's ok.

Clunk noise from front passenger side when

That noise sounds to me like a Ball Joint problem. I would check to see if you have fittings to grease the front suspention.

Good luck, Allen

Hearing clunk noises after going over bumps on the road..

Check the front struts ( shock absorber ) If original or very old, they are doing no good. Also check the front TORSION BAR rubber bushings. In low temps will groan and creak, on up and down motions.
