Abs pump is likely faulty. They are common problems. If your brake was wrong you would know it right away.

You should have the brake fluid system bled with a power bleeder. A flush wouldn't be a bad idea either.

My 2001 Montero Sport is making a grinding noise from the front, it comes and goes. I just changed the brakes, so I know its not that.

Ummm, if it wasn't doing it until AFTER you changed the brakes ...then I would think those brakes aren't in there quite right, or something else in there is misaligned. Coming and going means it most likely isn't wheel bearings. (Worse on hard corners? ...under acceleration? Only when braking? (if so it's the brakes).

Check system for shorts. I have a 02 Sport that I am on my 6th alternator since last November, 2010. The last time, my car broke down outside of Natchez and I had a shade tree mechanic work on the car. He found several corroded & frayed ground wire connections. I don't know if this will solve my problem, but it's probably worth the check.

Does my 2001 mitsubishi montero sports 3.5v6 needs timing belt replacement?

t belt should be replaced every 60,000 miles,if your montero has 120,000 miles or more,I recommend replacing the tensioner also, remember that you have to remove all of the front of engine cover,so it would be a good time to maybe replaced the engine seals and drive belts since everything is taken off at this time

2001 ford explorer sport trac. When applying the brakes in a hurry they act as though the rear brakes arent working. The anti lock seems to be ok how about the proportional valve is there some reset button ?

have you replaced front brakes 3+ times? normal wear is 3 front to 1 rear. plus ratio of braking for MOST veh's is 70% front vs 30% rear. rears could simply have worn out!
