SOURCE: location of drain plug, fill plug and correct oil level plug for 5 speed manual transmission

I don't know if there is a fill plug. I just use the level plug located on driver's side right above the inner CV joint of the half-shaft (axle) to fill it. A piece of flexible tubing connected to a funnel works well. The drain plug is fairly near the center of the bottom of the gearbox housing (behind the bell housing). The level plug has a 24mm, fairly flat, hex head, and the drain plug is a recessed plug with a 3/8" (?) square hole (for a socket handle).

I have a 1987 Nissan Stanza, standard transmission; I ran over a piece of wood that got stuck under the car; pulled over and it fell off; within time my gears stopped shifting to the next. What is wrong?

Sounds like the piece of wood loosened / bent / damaged the transmission linkage. Needs inspecting / repairing. More info, let me know.

!992 nissan stanza standard trans fluid

If your referring to the manual transmission where you do the shifting. Your going to be using gear lube, not to be confused with transmission fluid. Which is red in color, they are not interchangeable transmission fluid is only for automatic transmissions. Gear lube is much heavier in weight, you want to get a gear lube 80-90 weight this lube is perferred for your vehicle

Having done the project once, Isolate the Battery and carry on from there, as you did before, making sure that all reconnected Terminals are Clean and Secure.

I would check the timing chain/belt. chances are it could be either broken or jumped a tooth.
