If you can find the serial number of the radio I might be able to find the code. If it starts with an M or L or C.

that is not easy , I have tried to look up ford dealerships, so I can download the manual usage book, but it seems impossible to just do that...

no cannot find, it is the radio that they put in when the car was built, so it is the standard fm/ radio... how hard is it to dfind a code for it ....someone with the same model car would no it, so if everryone stops procrastinating about the code on the radio and get me the answer I will be gratefull... cheers

There are different codes for different radios. I'm sorry, I can't think of an easier way aside from taking it to the dealer or going to...

www.fordradiocode.com and paying $9.99 and they still need the serial number.

Hi,

You can get these Ford codes from this site for £3.50

I have used them several times as I repair radios. They will also text the code direct to your mobile which is very handy.

Cheap, quick and always accurate so I can confidently vouch for them.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Can anyone help me get my Ford transit radio code lost while helping a neighbour start his van. It's Ford serial number: M469717 model: 4000 RDS. Thanks

your best bet is to call the dealer and give them your VIN number. They will then give you your code to unlock a radio. every vehicle has a different code

I have a 1997 ford laser liata which lost its radio code when battery was replaced,i have the code but dont know how to reset, radio is flashing error at the moment.

I am not really sure on older models, but. Hold down the #1 and #4 buttons at the same time, for 5 to 10 seconds. This should get you to the spot or a menu to enter your code.

Radio wont work has err message. Would not dispay the word code to enter the code so I diconnected the battery and reconnected it. Now the hazard lights are flashing and the car will not start. Anyone...

You probably need to reset the security system to get the car to start. Try taking the key out of the ignition and locking the doors using the remote. Wait about 1 minute for the alarm to finish arming itself then unlock again with the remote and try to start it. The err mesage may be gone now, but if not, you may have to get your radio repaired.

Resetting the radio code in a 1998 falcon

The dealer has to send the radio out to their authorized service rep to hve the EPROM in the radio re-flashed with a new code.

These radios have no master key code. They were designed to be very secure.

leave the radio switched to the on position, turn your car ignition on to "accessories" and wait for about 20-30 minutes. the radio should change from ERR and offer you to enter the CODE agian. Good luck!
