My car has developed a whine, moreso when I accelorate. what could be the problem?

This sounds like a CV joint bearing. Make sure your tire pressures are equalized, especially the front two. If they are out by much, this will cause undue strain on CV joint & bearing components. Good luck!

What is the pronounced whine that's developed when I accelerate through the first two gears?


It has been my experience that that type of whine as you call it your probally looking at a torque converter, or FRONT transmission pump going out I had the same type of condition on my wife Ford tarus and I'd beet if you listen carefully the whine will ALWAYS be there and your trans fluid probally smells burned and maybe it might have small pieces of metal in it might be compared to.glitter in your fluid may want to limit use of the car till a transmission shop you trust gets it te keep from.damaging anymore hard internal parts good luck.Sorry to be the barrier of bad news I wish you my best

POWER STEERING WHINES... WE HAVE ALREADY REPLACED STEERING PUMP (2 TIMES), STEERING RACK AND RETURN LINE.AND FLUSHED SYSTEM OUT AT LEAST 3 TIMES. STILL WHINES (MORESO WHEN COLD) SEEMS BETTER AFTER WARMED...
