Question about 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
There is an aluminum tube running around near the top of the engine with 2 plastic caps on it on either end.The cap nearest the belt system is the fill point. With the engine running and the a/c on,fill it up at one quarter can intervals and check the coldness.Once it is cold enough stop.Over filling the system too much could damage it.If you end up losing the coldness fairly quick, there is probably a leak and needs to be checked out but I haven't heard any complaints yet.It took my car 15 years before it leaked too.Good luck!
