Question about Chevrolet Malibu
If the Check Engine Light (CEL) goes on and stays on, and than turns off, it still means you have a Trouble Code being put out by the ECM (Computer) but the fault i.e. bad Sensor or Component may not be happening all the time. You will need a OBD II Scanner ( On-Board Diagnostic II) to read the Trouble Code. You can have the code read for free at any AutoZone.
