Check coolant level when cold, also make sure coolimg fans are working. if not any of these. check for a bad thermostat or it needs a good flushing out.

crank sensor located behind the harmonic balancer is most likley the problem those motors are known for that.

I have a 2005 chevy impala with a v6 engine and when im sitting idle it cuts off after running for like 10 minutes

Does the car run well otherwise? Does it have the get up & go like when it was new? Does anything odd/funny occur in the minutes just before it cuts off?

I drive a 2007 chevy impala, when im driving the heater blows out hot air but if im in idle it blows out cold air?

Whats wrong with my 2004 chevy impala the idle is too high...

if im thinking right you should have a check engine light on if this is happening, sounds like an idle control sensor, take it to the chevrolet dealership or a mechanic shot and get the obd2 codes pulled and they can tell you the exact problem, autozone also does this for free

2005 chevy impala overheat light comes on, the car was shaking when I started it and cold air when idling but when given a little gas the car starts blowing out hot air what do you think it might be?

My 2003 chevy impala idle high in park n when i put it in drive it will go up to 40mph without being on the gas pedal

things to check: check for engine vacume leak
carbon build up at throttle body. idle air contoller maybe stuck due to carbon build up or defective
