Question about 2001 Saturn SL
One could change the computer to see if the false readings go away. If the car starts fine, that's one thing. If it continues to run for 40 or 50 minutes, that tells me that it's warmed up enough that the O2 sensor is being used as a reference. Also, if the EGR valve had a leak, then it would run rough all of the time.
Maybe you should take his advice and have the computer changed and see what happens.
