Bolt's up to the lower part of the engine block, on the side, held on with one 10mm bolt, undo bolt and sensor slide right out.

Locate crankshaft sensor on 1996 crystler New yorker (where is the crank shaft found on a 1996 Crystler NewYorker?

The crank shaft is actually an internal mechanical part of the engine (see last picture) however the crank shaft position sensor uses through what they call a "hall effect" with a componant inside the transmission. The crank shaft turns which in turn turns the componant inside the transmission. Below are a couple of pictures of the location of the crankshaft position sensor as well as what the plug looks like so you know you are removing the correct part. Hope this helps.....

It wont start,, geting fuel,, i was told cheak th e crank senseor,, if not computor ,,where i s it ,,on a 4 cl

Crank sensor itself should be at the 11 o'clock position on the bellhousing looking from the rear. The harness connector should be up somewhere near the brake master cylinder. I'd also test the pickup inside the distributor before deciding to replace the computer. First thing you need to do is get yourself a haynes or chilton manual for test procedures etc....It will save you from buying parts that don't need replacement.

It should be down near the crankshaft pulley. Remove the the right front wheel and the splash shield, it should be there next to the pulley.

I cant locate the crank sensor on my 1996 pontiac grand am. Please help

On most cars it is located right behind the crank shaft pulley. Inorder to get to it, you must take off the crank shaft pulley. Good luck.
