Question about 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier

1 Answer

We have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier and we woke up this morning and it will not start. Hubby says its fuel pump/filter--something to do with fuel. Where should we start? Where is the fuel pump/filter/relay switch/whatever?

2004 chevy cavalier wouldnt start replaced fuel pump, filter, checked fuse and relay . Started up drove about 20 miles then went out to start it and wont start fuel pump not pressurizeing

Check your O2 sensors. They will give that affect and work only when your engine heats up. If the car cools down and starts up again, that is a sign that your O2 sensors are shot. Replace them.

My 2004 chevy cavalier runs when I spray starting fluid into breather. Any suggestions on where to begin troubleshooting?

fuel pressure is your problem here. dirty or restricted fuel filter may be causing your problem or you may have a tired fuel pump. (if it stays running) if it dies you may have a bad pump. you can never go wrong with replacing the filter first. it is recomended maintenace.
