check see if cooling fan running could have faulty cooling fan relay or fuse.if cooling fan dont run when ac on car will overheat.AC COMPRESSOR PUT LOAD ON ENGINE.
it could be one of many things! 1. the thermostat may be faulty & needs replacing 2. the water pump may be faulty & needs replacing 3. the radiator may be blocked either internally or externally ( check for insects or other debris in the core) 4. the cooling fans may not be working, check to see if they are, I have listed likely possibilities........hope this helps........cheers.
hi as this vehicle takes 6.5ltrs of liquid in the cooling system ( 1.6 16v based on ) as you did not give the engine size, but, 3.5ltrs of coolant is needed as it should be 50/50 depending on where you are and the temperature it has to deal with, warmer countries only need 30/70 That's 30 coolant to 70 water, but, if you are in a colder country it would be 80/20 that's 80 coolant to 20 water...and any standard coolant is ok no need for a specific one hope this helps please vote thanks
Depends which thermostat you are talking here, assuming you are referring to the one that works on the engine cooling system which should be connected to it...so look for the switch which is connected to the engine cooling system, that where water flows within the system...
If the water tends to keep going down then there has to be a leak somewhere. Try also looking at the hose coming from the overflow tank and see if the hose might be kinked. You might also be blowing antifreeze out the tailpipe. Take a look and if there is bluish white smoke then you have confirmed that theory,
Under the hood you will find a white sticker, about 2-3 inches wide. On it will have the engine size/group and the spark plug gap and other service information. Good luck
If the water bubbles in the resevoir when the engine is running, the head gasket could be blown. There is often white smoke (steam) coming from the exhaust.
