Question about 2007 Toyota Avalon

Open Question

Our 2007 Toyota Avalon - the dash vent controls - the nurled disk that you turn left or right to adjust the directional (hidden) vanes for air dispertion. They both (passenger and driver side) have stopped working. We adjust the (vanes) direction (carefully) with a small tool. There was no indication of broken plastic or the like - they just stopped working and i'd like to know what to possible look for - to fix them. Regards Bill

SOURCE: 2004 toyota sienna a/c not working one side cold other side warm

there are two a/c lines that run down the fire wall under the van to the rear.right around the bottom of the fire wall the is a connection point on both lines. you will find a leak there .replace the orings and recharge system. also you will need two specail toyota tools to release the couplings.i have done this repair on several sienna's. let me know if this helps.

Don't think there is another clip, I think it slips into a slot on the right. It should pop off.

most likely a defect. call the dealer and see if toyota has issued a recall on the visor and you might have it replaced for free. other than that, there's always the junkyard.

try going to passenger door window switch and reset it by going down and holding for extra 3to5 seconds after window is down, do same to go up, then try doing it with master switch don forget to hold it longer, this is a reset also used on Scion vehicles, hope it helps.

i would think the vent direction control isn't moving the heater box vent , stuck in the open position so only hot air from the engine ,strip out the control panel a check that the direction control cable is connected both ends ,

My heater does not blow in floor in a dodgeram 1500
the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

Floor vents not working in my Avalon.
When you turn the dial to the floor vents, do you hear anything. You should hear a flap or something move after the dials been turned. There's a flap (direction control) just above the blower behind the passenger side dash. This directs the air to where it's supposed to go. It sounds like yours may have come loose

How do you remove the dashboard from a 1995 toyota tercel? I'm redoing the car and want to take it out to paint that and the rest of the trim.
remove steering wheel speedo clock column switches heater controlls time clock,,basically evertin in the dash even glove box possibly steering shaft also,,,then youl see all the bolts and screws that hold it in ,,,plenty of ten mil bolts in the left and right side of the dash on the bottom and so on,,some bolts could be hidden behind the air vents too not sure though go gently,,,youl do it ,,,
