that Toyota has a 2.4 l 2az-fe 14of 155 hp and ran from 2001-2007 after which a v6 engine was installed
the sensor is the one before the cat converter as it is a heated oxygen sensor (KO2S) and reports on the gas composition to the ECM for air/fuel ratio adjustments
the oxygen sensor (O2) is after the cat converter and reports on the cat operation
have the cat converter checked at an accredited muffler shop
The code and having no overdrive go hand in hand. Before dropping money on knock sensors, check the wiring. If you find any broken or damaged wires, replace those first. If the problem persists, replace the sensor.
Possible Causes:
Oxygen (O2) sensor not working correctly
Damaged or leaking exhuast (pipe, manifold, catalytic converter)
Damaged catalytic converter
Diagnostic Help:
To diagnose a P0430 trouble code we begin by checking for
exhaust
leaks under the vehicle. Then use an oscilloscope to check the waveforms
of both upstream and downstream O2 sensors. The rear
reading should
vary, the front should be steady. Replace as necessary.
Check the
rear Heated O2 Sensor. Check the catalytic converter,
replace if
necessary. If necessary, check for wiring and component. hopes this helps thanks
